Thomas Lee Hinton

Thomas Lee Hinton was born in Johnston County on May 30,
1961 and departed this life on April 17, 2019, in Greensboro,
North Carolina. He was the son of Goldie Griffis Hinton and
Elliot Hinton.
Thomas was educated in the Johnston County School system. He
was employed at the City of Raleigh where he retired.
Thomas was united in holy matrimony to Connie Tabron on July
14, 1983 until his death. From this union, two children were born,
Tecia Hinton and Lorenzo Hinton.
Thomas joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age.
Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie Hinton, his
father, Elliott Hinton and his brother, James Griffis Cooper.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Connie Hinton,
Raleigh, NC; daughter, Tecia Hinton, Raleigh, NC; son, Lorenzo
Hinton, Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Glennie Hinton, Garner, NC,
Edward Hinton (Ester), Raleigh, NC, Arthur Griffis (Gloria),
Garner, NC; four sisters, Julia Cousar (Fernandas), Raleigh, NC,
Betsy Thorpe (Reginald), Raleigh, NC, Mary Pair (Glenn), Raleigh,
NC and Mae Helen, Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren,
Shameak Brackett, Shaquaz Hinton, Carl Cotton, Bentley Hinton,
Jerome Gardner and Malik Hinton; 31 nieces and nephews and a
host of cousins and friends.
