Goldsboro, NC to the late Hunter and Alberta
Carroll Lacy.
Verland was a graduate of Goldsboro High
School, Class of 1943. She relocated to
Smithfield, NC in 1947 and joined St. Peter's
Disciple Church of Christ where she was a
faithful member.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son,
Lee Belafonte Jackson of High Point, NC; one
grandson, Brandon Omar Brown; and a host of
nieces, nephews, and her spiritual family.
