Vivian "Granny' Ruth Snow Jones

Vivian Ruth Snow Jones (Granny), the only child of the late Mattie Snow, lived the entirety of her 98 years in Selma, NC. She transitioned on Sunday, April 25, 2021, after a brief illness. Granny was a woman of faith. She loved God, singing, and visiting those in need. She was spiritually formed in the African Methodist Episcopal tradition and was a long-time member of Howell's Chapel Church of Christ, Selma, NC where she was the oldest member. She leaves to cherish her memory and carry her legacy four generations: her only daughter Cecelia (Clarence) Laney, Sr., seven grandchildren, Ricky (Lucy) Bell, Cecelia (Bill) Pettiway, Glenn (Carol) Richardson, Beatrice Laney, Vivian Laney Dobbins, Clarence (Lisa) Laney, Jr, and Sharon Laney Agu. Fourteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
