Warren Lee Ethridge III (nickname Boise) was born on May 12, 1942 in Duplin County to the late Revered Warren Lee Ethridge Jr. and Ora Lee Rogers Ethridge. He transitioned to His heavenly home on Monday, November 2, 2020. His son Tremes Ethridge and Brothers Overseer Robert Jacobs and Sandy Rogers preceded him in death.
Warren attended Shepard High School in Zebulon NC. One of his first jobs was with Fred Creech working on bridges. Then he worked with CC Mangum for many years afterwards he decided to follow his dreams go in business for himself naming it Ethridge & Sons.
Warren attended and served as a Deacon at St. Mark United Holy Church later named Earpsboro Holy Church for many years. Then he joined Branch Memorial United Holy Church of Wilson NC under the leadership of Revered Herman Lucas. Warren later joined Mt. Zion United Holy Church, where he served as Deacon, sung in the Senior Choir and was an usher until his health declined. Warren was united in marriage to the love of his life Eula Pearl Ethridge and to this union they were blessed with 17 children.
He leaves his precious memories to be cherished by: his wife, Eula Ethridge, his children, JoeAnn Mitchell (Jimmie) of Wendell, NC Veronica McGee of Selma NC, Lucy Cisneros (Reyes) of Clayton, NC. Wade Ethridge of Lucama, NC, Ronnie Ethridge of Selma, NC, Ora Crumel (Timothy) of Wilson, NC, Sheila Laine (Guilliano) of Bowie, Maryland, Ben Ethridge (Tammy) of Louisburg, NC, Katherine Ethridge of Clayton, NC, Kris Cooley of Greensboro, NC, Jaquan Ethridge, Nicholas Ethridge, Daryl Ethridge, Mya Ethridge, Kibre Ethridge and Nathaniel Ethridge all of Clayton, NC. Twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. One uncle Otis Ethridge of Wendell, NC, three sisters Florence Holder, Elizabeth Holder, and Louise Meeks all of Washington, DC, Sister-in-laws Pastor Carrie Lee Jacobs, Irene McCullers, Louise Holder Poston and Mary Lou Holder, Brother-in-laws Donnie Holder (Mary) and Russell Holder and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
