Mr. Willie Clark Sr.79, of 3865 Raleigh Rd. Clayton NC died on February 15, 2010 at Duke Raleigh North in Raleigh NC.
He was born to the late Shirley Clark and Ruth Avery Sanders, and he was raised in the loving home of the late deacon Ernest and Mother Lula Avery.
He is preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart and wife, Irene McLean Clark, and his daughter, Mirriam Clark Dawson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Willie Clark Jr. of Raleigh NC: two granddaughters; Miva Clark of the home and Victoria Clark of Cary NC :two sisters; Rosa Wright of Clayton NC and Betty Davis (John) of Clayton NC: two brothers; Raymond Avery of Raleigh NC and Luther Sanders Jr.(Erlene) of Smithfield NC: two sisters-in-law; Betty Royal of Kingston NY and Rose Sanders of Clayton NC: one brother-in-law; Alonzo McLean of CA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and admiring friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 21, 2010 at 2PM at Willow Springs Church in Clayton NC. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 3PM to 8PM at Sanders funeral home. Internment services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield NC.
